The Spielbudenplatz between Davidstrasse and the iconic “dancing towers” is the geographic heart of the Reeperbahn. Around 1800 a large square was built where artists and showmen could set up their stalls (hence the name, “games booths square”). Today, markets and events like the “St. Pauli Nachtmarkt” and the “Food Truck Festival” are held here.
