Hamburg Beat is a 21st-century beat band dedicated to the raw, wild sound of the Hamburg and Liverpool beat clubs of the early 1960s. Not quite as their name would suggest the band is split between living in Lincoln, UK and Berlin, Germany.

The band's origins date back to 1981, back then they were called The Word, playing their own songs with a few covers of the Beatles thrown into the mix. They reformed in 2012 and added Alex, the son of one of the original founding members on bass, who many say looks like Stu but plays like Macca. Now called Hamburg Beat the group have become celebrated and performed at all known festivals in Belgium, Norway, Finland, Netherlands, France and Germany and of course Liverpool, having performed over 50 times in the world famous Cavern Club including several performances there at Beatleweek Hamburg Beat is a genuine rock'n'roll band that works with meticulous devotion playing the songs made in Liverpool and Hamburg in the 50's and early 60'sin the clubs, including song legends like "Besame Mucho", "Lend Me Your Comb", "Hallelujah I Love Her So" and "Falling In Love Again". It's just the music they love - and from which we also notice again how much these songs are in our hearts.
