The Rattles are definitely the most famous German beat band, virtually born at the legendary Star-Club. Founded in 1960 by Achim Reichel and Herbert Hildebrandt, they got their first engagement at the Star-Club in 1963, being the first German band, the honour went to. They toured Great Britain with Bo Diddley, Little Richard and The Rolling Stones, where they were celebrated as the German Beatles. In 1966 they shared the stage with the Fab Four as part of the Bravo-Beatles-Blitztournee in Munich, Essen and Hamburg.
The band had about a dozen hits, including La La La, Come on and Sing, Cauliflower and The Witch. With the latter the band also found international success, the single reached number 79 in the US and 8 in Great Britain. Celebrating their 60th band anniversary in 2020, we’re even more thrilled to welcome The Rattles at Come Together.
