FAQ

Where and how can I buy tickets and how do I get my wristband?

As long as there are tickets available, they can be purchased through our website  until the festival is running. All tickets must be exchanged for a wristband at before attending the first event. Tickets can only be exchanged at the ticket counter. The wristband is not transferable.
Without the wristband there’ll be no admission to the festival locations. There’s free choice of seats for all venues with seated events, visitors are not entitled to a seat though. Doors open 30 minutes before stage time at the latest. We reserve the right to changes regarding the above-mentioned regulations and will keep you posted.
Please understand that tickets can‘t be exchanged for wristbands outside the opening hours of the ticket counters.

What are the opening hours for the wristband exchange?

During the festival, the box office and wristband exchange will be open from 14:30 – 21:30. After 21:30 the box office and wristband exchange will move to the box office of Grosse Freiheit 36 until 23:00.

Can I share my ticket with a friend? One of us attends on Friday, the other on Saturday?

Sorry, that’s not possible. Your ticket is valid for a single person only and can’t be shared with other people

What time are doors, what time do shows start at and when is curfew?

Generally speaking, doors for shows at the main venues will be between 17:00 and 18:00. Shows will kick off between 18:00 and 18:30. As for panels, readings, talks, cinema and exhibitions, there will be events in the afternoon as well.

When and where will you let us know about the line-up and the festival programming?

To keep up the suspense a little bit longer we’ll announce the line-up and festival programming bit by bit. The complete line-up and programming will be announced by the end of February 2020.

What’s included in the Premium Festival Ticket?

Are the tickets transferable?

Yes, they are. Just give them to a friend if you can’t make it.

So, do I get access to all  events at all stages anytime with both tickets?

This is the case for the Premium Festival Ticket. You’ll have priority access  to all events at all stages anytime and there’ll be a fast lane for visitors with Premium Festival Tickets too.
We can’t  always guarantee you access to the shows with the Festival Ticket. When the venue has reached its maximum capacity, you might have to wait a little until other visitors have left the location.
So, it’s best to get to the venues on time.

What are the regulations for minors attending the festival?

If you’re just 17, you know what we mean…

Our festival regulations are subject to the German Protection of Young Persons Act. We’d like to remind you that we have no influence on the door policy and admission at the venues. For our young and underaged Beatles fans there’s a possibility of being turned away at the door of the clubs on Reeperbahn, especially at a late hour. Please do consider this when buying a ticket. Student cards or permission forms signed by a legal guardian are generally not accepted. Minors under the age of 16 are not permitted to attend discotheques and clubs without a legal guardian. Minors above the age of 16 are permitted to attend  until midnight at the latest.
