Singer, Songwriter and producer Erk: Friesian name, North German homeland, based in Berlin for over 20 years. In the beginning of the wild 90s he’s a star on Berlin’s Indie scene with his band “Treat “. The band’s success is followed by projects with artists like Elke Brauweiler (aka “Paula “), Pat C. or Jazzanova’s Roskow Kretschmann whose side project “Kosma “creates quite a hype with one of Erk’s compositions (“Flow “). Meanwhile Erk is also playing with Berlin noise pop institutions „ Cuban Rebel Girls“ and “Space Kelly“, joining the latter on a tour through Japan and South Korea. As a sideman for the Torpedo Boyz he’s on keys behind frontman Ken Steen. In 2005 Erk releases his solo debut “Far from The World “, first in Japan then in Germany. His second album “Tidbits” is released in 2009; Piano-songwriter-power-pop simmering somewhere between The Beatles, Beach Boys and Jeff Lynne.
Ten Years later Erk wants to know if the old magic’s still working and records his final album “When Night Meets Day “with a little help from his professional musician friends at Jazzanova Recording Studio. Beatles, Beach Boys or Jeff Lynne? For Come Together Erk will - of course - present a selection of his favourite songs by the Fab Four. We’re looking forward!
