“Picture yourself on a boat on a river ...” How about a concert not in a club, but on a boat that departs at the famous St. Pauli Landungsbrücken? For over 100 years, the “barkassen” (large open motorboats) of “Barkassen-Meyer” have been cruising the port of Hamburg. For “Come Together”, the renowned ferry company will be making one of their ships available for music lovers – on festival Saturday, it will transform into the “Beatles Barkasse”, a party ship that will go on a musical harbour cruise with lots of festival goers and the band “Albers Ahoi” on board. There will be three one-hour cruises, and after each one guests can board or disembark. It’s an event which celebrates St. Pauli’s proximity to the port.
